“My favorite thing about dancing is how utterly human it is.
Every culture has its own expression of dance. Anywhere I travel, I find a place to go out dancing and I make instant connections. Dance transcends space, time, money — even language. Just smile, hold out your hand, and make magic with a stranger.”

Raechel Lambert, who goes by Rae, grew up with a love for dance, but she didn’t find her calling until she discovered social dancing through an arts program in high school. That year’s dance program was East Coast Swing and she’s been hooked ever since.

While attending college at UNH, she became president of the swing dancing club “The Hepcats” and co-founded the Latin dance club. It was at the Hepcat's practice night where she met Morry & Nina El Badry, who were both great friends, and great influences on her dancing. It was also during college while teaching a Charleston class in Boston, that Rae met her now husband, Ryan, who is also an avid social dancer.

Raechel’s career working with Silicon Valley startups has enabled her to live in many cities and travel extensively. She’s lived and danced regularly in Boston, San Francisco, New York, and Miami. Everywhere she travels, she finds a spot to go out dancing. On her travels, she has danced with locals in the U.K., Costa Rica, Portugal, Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Argentina.

Along the way, she’s learned from and danced with some of the greats in West Coast Swing and Lindy Hop: John Lindo, Deborah Szekely, Kevin St. Laurent, Sarah Spence Adams.
